SmushMonkey Studio ("we", "us", "our") built Baby Sleep Trainer as a paid application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.
Baby Sleep Trainer does not collect your name, email address, Apple ID, or a SmushMonkey account. Your sleep training data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We collect pseudonymous product analytics, purchase and entitlement outcomes, app and device information, and country-level location to improve the app and guide product and marketing decisions.
Session history (night number, check-in counts, interval durations, sleep times) is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to your other devices signed into the same Apple ID. This data is not accessible to us. Apple's iCloud privacy policy governs this storage.
If you use the partner sync feature, session data is shared between devices via a shared iCloud zone. This uses Apple CloudKit sharing and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not operate any servers for this feature.
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to collect product usage and reliability events such as screens viewed, sessions started and sessions ended. Events are linked across app sessions using a persistent app-generated device identifier and may include app entitlement state, app and operating-system information, purchase-flow outcomes, reliability information, and country-level location inferred from network information. We do not store raw IP addresses, request device location permission, or collect GPS or precise location. Country-level information helps us understand app usage by market and guide product and marketing decisions. PostHog does not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements and measure purchase performance. We also send PostHog purchase-flow events such as paywall views, purchase outcomes, product identifiers, and displayed price information. These services receive app-generated identifiers, but not your name, email address, or Apple ID. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
The app registers for Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to receive partner sync updates via CloudKit subscriptions. Your device token is managed by Apple and is not stored on our servers.
All sleep training data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account. We do not operate servers that store your sleep training data. Product analytics are processed by PostHog in the European Union and copied to company-controlled analytics infrastructure for reporting. Purchase analytics are processed by RevenueCat in its infrastructure.
Baby Sleep Trainer is a tool for parents and caregivers. It does not collect information from children. No data about your child (name, age, or otherwise) is collected or transmitted by the app.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
